The 'Ohi'a demonstrates awsome beauty after such a devastating new beginning. Thank You for sharing your videography.
I’m not Hawaiian, but love from mainland US. This song is beautiful.
I think they need to find a better MC. While Kamaka Pili is personable, some of the stories he shares, especially about `Ōlelo Hawai`i, is inaccurate. His meanings of island names donʻt match the historical and documented (Mary Kawena Puku`i) meanings of those words. The inaccuracies are problematic as they give a non Hawaiian speaker the false meaning of a place name or word which they then share with their family and friends; spreading falsehoods. This was an eye opener. I always thought Kamaka Pili did his homework and presented things in a way that served to truly tell the story of a place or word. With this, I find that heʻs made up a few things along the way and rather than being authentic he is really unauthentic and not trustworthy to share the mo`olelo of our people or language.
This gave me chicken skin 🌈🌺♥️
This song got me so emotional 😢 love you my Hawaiian people ❤❤❤❤

Beautiful vessel, beautiful community!
On the hundredth anniversary of the Queen's passing, we, too in the diaspora had ceremony in her honor. Everywhere where Hawaiians live on the Mainland and in other countries acknowledged the great unfairness of the time, there was ceremony. Many tears.

• Kupe one of our fathers, teacher, who taught maori astrology , ship building , star compass for navigation, hes the frist entity to navigate the star system ,he come from hawaiki , Hawaiki is not a country or a continent ,its a spiritual Realm, in european or biblical Terms, its Like heaven , Maori have lived in New Zealand since the beginning ,the proof is in the maori (waka)boats that were built, and the materials used to create the first seafaring vessels(waka) carved from a New Zealand's native tree ,the sails (te ra)woven of Flaxs (harakeke) the art of weaving was gift ,taught to maori by the (patupaiarehe)who also show maori kites ,fishing nets, agriculture and many more teachings were pass down from supernatural entity's(patupaiarehe). European have made up their own history ,about maori ,arrived in New Zealand's, 700, to 1000 years, which is a lie, Our (whakapapa) is proof of heritage, even the teachings of how the universe begins, these are keys to unlock creation its self. and its all starts with( te kore )or also known as the perantless one (te po) the darkness
Bonjour de ma Normandie , 😍😍😍Génial ! Merci de ce morçeau que je prend personnellement comme " HUMAIN" 🥲Trés fort !!! Bravo! Votre mentalité 🥰😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Hawaiians always be little Micronesians but without a Micronesian, Hawaiians will not gain the knowledge to voyage and yet there is no credit to the master navigator Mau. How SAD.
interesting that there is no credit to Mau because without him there wont be any traditional knowledge to the Hawaiians. it is said that you take all the credit without giving back to who have thought you.
Whose here after his name was mention at the FestPac Hawaii.
Where did this movement vanish too?
So beautiful! Mahalo nui loa.
39:45 - 51:20.... 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 The true spirit of Pacific Islander Love
Are widespread obesity also part of the true glorious spirit? A healthy mind in a healthy body 😇
12:27 “he was like a living ancestor you could talk to”. You couldn’t have said it better.
This hits me even harder because I can speak and understand hawaiian, especially when they sang “Auhea wale oukou pu’alikoa o keawe?” Which translates to something like “Where are you soldiers of Keawe Along with those of Maui and O’ahu Unite, join together with those of Kaua’i Marching alongside the descendants of Ni’ihau”
I’m very grateful and proud to be Native Hawaiian and the Love for my people and my Ohana of Hawai’i.🙌🏽❤️🙌🏽
